Vijay Prateek

I am a Mumbai-based actor and writer. Being part of the process of building and telling stories fills me with a deep sense of awe.

I have been working as a writer in the non-fiction, B2B communication space for the last 15 years.

I am currently building myself as an actor with sincerity and discipline. My focus is to listen better, react more truthfully, respect the writing and make choices that serve the story.

My training includes a diploma in method acting from the Jeff Goldberg School of Performing Arts, Mumbai. I have been fortunate to work in spaces where discipline, listening and ensemble work matter deeply.

As a performer, I am drawn to characters with contradiction — people who are funny but wounded, confident but afraid, sharp but lonely, kind but complicated. I enjoy roles where emotion appears through behaviour, silence, humour, hesitation or a sudden crack in the surface.

I am comfortable working in Hindi and English, and can also speak Bangla and Odia. I am open to theatre, films, web series, advertising films, digital content and character-led formats.

At this stage, I see myself as someone still building his path, one opportunity at a time — with the experience of a storyteller, the curiosity of a student and the hunger of someone who has carried this dream for a long time.
