Teaching and Training
I train actors to be disciplined, employable, and committed artists, with a focus on developing their identity as self-determined, professional creatives.

Ashley Lobo - Artistic Director/Choreographer, The Danceworx and Navdhara India Dance Theatre

My teaching is rooted in over 40 years in the performing arts as an actor and director, following my training at the prestigious WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
At WAAPA, I studied under masters such as Lisle Jones, Aarne Neeme, Annie Stainer, and Chris Edmunds, following Robert Benedetti’s actor training structure of Stanislavski and his philosophical descendants. Mr Jones' mantra—"Show me, don't tell me"—still guides my work, alongside the teachings of Benedetti, Anne Bogart, Declan Donnellan, Uta Hagen, Cicely Berry, and Stella Adler.

Professional Development
I believe the key to unlocking our full potential as artists—whether in theatre or film—is staying performance fit and open to learning, no matter where we are in our careers.
Artistic growth is a lifelong journey. To thrive, we must continually evolve our craft, seek new challenges, and create our own opportunities while sharpening our competitive edge.
My professional development sessions are designed to support performers at every level—from those just starting out to seasoned professionals looking to refine and recharge. I’m passionate about working with driven, curious artists.
Mentoring
I have been mentoring emerging actors, designers, directors and stage managers, and fledgling arts companies and in the Corporate Sector for much of my career.
I believe in the power of mentorships and peer mentorships and have personally maintained both for the past 40 years. I believe in the adage that "Everyone knows something and no one knows everything".
My commitment to sustainability, and development and the invaluable importance of the craft and its potential have been unwavering.
