Nitish Kapoor

I’m an actor and movement artist from India, driven by a curiosity to understand people, their emotions, contradictions, fears, and everything beneath what is spoken. For me, acting isn’t about performing; it’s about discovering the truth within a character and allowing it to exist honestly.

My training at the Duende School of Ensemble Physical Theatre taught me to trust the body as much as the mind, listen before reacting, and embrace collaboration through ensemble work and improvisation. I also trained in street jazz and funk jazz at Danceworx, developing physical awareness, rhythm, and spontaneity. I’m equally drawn to clown work, which has expanded my ability to move between the external and the internal life of a character.

I’ve worked across theatre, feature films, web series, and commercials. Theatre gave me discipline and presence, while film taught me the power of stillness and subtlety. I especially enjoy script interpretation and character analysis, exploring motivations, relationships, and the emotional landscape beneath the dialogue.

Beyond acting, I’m passionate about visual storytelling through photography and editing, believing every creative discipline deepens the others. I’m constantly learning through training, books, films, travel, and observation. I’m drawn to stories that stay with people, reveal our shared humanity, and create genuine connection. That pursuit of honest storytelling is what continues to drive my work.
